Advanced Systems Engineer – Lead Application Developer

· Converted an Informix system (Defense Blood Standard System – DBSS) to Oracle 8i, from Delphi 3 to Delphi 6, Borland C++ to Visual C++, Windows NT to Windows 2000, and BusinessObjects 4.1.1 to 5.1.3. Oracle Pro*C was used to access Oracle 8i from a C++ program.

· Was the lead developer in the consolidation of separate site systems into a global system (DBSS 6.0) on Citrix Metaframe XP.  Relational DBMS was Oracle 9i and development tools were Delphi 7 Enterprise Edition and BusinessObjects 5.1.7.

· Troubleshot and maintained BusinessObjects 5.1.7 reports.

· Followed Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines (CFR 820) for software Medical Devices and operated under a Capability Maturity Model Level III organization.

January 1999 – April 2002- NikSoft Systems Corp, Herndon, Virginia.

• Developed Expense Assignment System (EAS) IV as a contractor with Electronic Data Systems in Herndon, Virginia. This was a Department of Defense Health Affairs (D/SIDDOMS) cost accounting system. This system was developed with Delphi 5 Client/Server on Windows NT 4.0 using Informix Dynamic Server DBMS and designed using System Architect for UML modeling

December 1997 – January 1999 - MODIS, Inc, Boston, Massachusetts.

• Developed and was the lead developer for Expense Assignment System (EAS) IV as a contractor with Electronic Data Systems in Herndon, Virginia, and Falls Church, VA. This was a Department of Defense Health Affairs system for tracking costs and expenses for workload, personnel, and materials in the operation of Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs). This system was developed (at the time) with Delphi 3 Client/Server and Delphi 4 Client/Server using Informix Dynamic Server DBMS and BusinessObjects 4.1.
• Designed and developed the System Interfaces subsystem of EAS IV, which imports and processes data files from other financial, personnel, and resource systems.
• Designed and developed the Transmissions subsystem of EAS IV, which extracts data from the EAS IV database, and transmits them to the EAS IV Repository using File Transfer Protocol (FTP).

• Designed and developed a scan/index system for the University of Michigan’s Financial Operations to scan and index paper documents into FileNet’s Image Management System. This system was developed using Borland Delphi 3.0, Kofax Image Controls, and FileNet’s ActiveX controls for Workflo Business Systems.

September 1996 - September 1997 - ImageSoft, Inc ., Birmingham, MI

Senior Consultant/Vice President

• Developed a document imaging system using Microsoft Visual Basic, Microsoft Visual C++, Objectshare Parts for Java, and FileNet Workflo Business System software with IBM Global Services for the University of Michigan’s Health System. Java applets were used for a thin client (through a web browser) search and retrieval application, and Visual Basic 5.0 was used to develop the fat client version using FileNet’s Workflo Business Systems ActiveX controls.
• Developed a multimedia retrieval program using Borland Delphi 2.0 and Borland C++ to retrieve and view multimedia and graphic objects from IBM’s ImagePlus VisualInfo for AdWare Systems, Louisville, KY.
• Designed and developed an Internet-based multimedia retrieval program using Java (Symantec Visual Café) and Microsoft Visual C++ to retrieve and view multimedia and graphic objects from IBM’s ImagePlus VisualInfo (later called IBM Digital Library) for AdWare Systems, Louisville, KY.

• Developed a document imaging and work flow system with IBM Global Services for the University of Michigan's Financial Operations using Microsoft Visual Basic and the FileNet ActiveX controls for WorkFlo Business Systems.

• Developed IBM ImagePlus VisualInfo modules in the development of TAIMS (Totally Automated Insurance Management System) on the OS/2 platform using IBM C Set++ for IBM Canada (Markham, Ontario)
• Developed applications using Microsoft Visual C++ and ODBC to take GM and Ford Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) data and generate C++ declarations for each make, model, engine, transmission type, etc. for Microprocessor Solutions, Inc. (MPSI),
• Designed and developed a document imaging system with IBM for Federated Department Stores to archive and retrieve benefits, retirement and other records. Visual Basic 3.0 was used as the front end and IBM's ImagePlus VisualInfo was used to store and retrieve the images. Borland C++ 4.5 was used to interface with the VisualInfo Windows API, and IBM C Set++ was used on OS/2 to access VisualInfo.
• Developed a document imaging system with IBM for Chrysler Motor Corp.'s Customer Center using Visual Basic 3.0, Sybase SQLServer (ODBC), Unix System V, Excalibur Software Products, and Walldata's Rumba.
